Upgrading yet again

Hi Ho, it's Sunday again... the weather is grey... it's a bit windy... and I am watching the last stage of the tour de France, hopeing for Cadel Evans to hold onto the Aussie flag of victory, although it's going to be tough. It's been a good support from the Physio Bob family with my brother and I wishing Cadel well at the start, then my brother (who's married to a Beglium) going to Gent for the second stage and Bob's parents are in Paris today for the final stage.

Bummer that I am here updating the blog as I haven't done it for a while. Then I think I'll make a link to it on the forum homepage as it hasn't found a place since the migration.

PhysioBob's Jobs Updates

Finally made another release and upgrade of the job's site at midnight Friday. It's only a few months late but that's par for th course in web land. Hopefully you lot will find some nice new features, including more interaciton with the forum section on working overseas

PhysioBob's Classifieds

Well I am sitting here waiting for the developement team yet again. So many things done, so many things waiting to be done.

The good news is that a new online classifieds solution is almost ready. It will allow you to buy, sell, trade and donate all your old physio equipment. Your patients can even buy and sell online if they wish.

The new Physiobase site is also pretty much finished. Just waiting for my friends in Sarajevo to pull their fingers out and finish the database connections. You should be happy with the new simply registration and much faster page loads. After the phase one release of the new site we will be reworking the physio directory. This will be supported by numerous advertising campaigns to the public including a google adwords and adsense program.

PhysioBob's Jobs is going extremly well. We've already logged over 1,000 online job and course enquiries and we are seeing many new jobs and courses appear every day. People have even use it to find venues to take their courses overseas. Take a look at  http://www.physiobob.com

Anyway that's it for now, back to testing the subscription management on the new shop. Once that's done we can begin to upload all the product! Oh joy, NOT!

Bob's Jobs goes live!

Finally the new Jobs site went live at about 3pm GMT today (www.physiobob.com). There are a few glitches and this is only Phase 1 of this new release but that said it is a great new upgraded version of the past 7-8 years of watching what people want and use in an online jobs website. I hope you like it.

On another note the new Physiobase main site is also progressing well as is final preparations for the upgraded PhysioShop. 2006 should be a bumper year for all members :)

New Physiomail

Well after a week of fiddling I am finally able to release the new Physiobase Email service. And might I say it is pretty darn good, expecially as it is free for up to the first 5Mb.

Spinning!

Wow, did another spinning class last night. Closest yet to thowing up into my towel. Amazingly the teacher, a guy of retirement age just had en epidural etc with no effect, then had some cortisone injections into the Lx. Now pain free he is back with vengeance inspired by the Commonwealth Games. Oh well, I look on to see what will happen to him as he doesn't know there is a physio in the class.

New PI Question to the CSP

Well in response to some useful answers to my last question I have now asked the CSP for a few more answers to a few more questions that have potentially highlighted an issue for the Private Practitioner.

Why are there no New Grad jobs in the UK?

I would like to really understand why there are no new grad jobs available in the UK right now. It seems ridiculous and the CSP appear to be doing very little about it. Have they missed the real cause?
